August 6, 2010 is opening night for a new display of artist at the gallery. I’ll be there from 6pm to 10pm. Also I’ll be there during the Kirkland Art Walk on August 12th from 6pm to 9pm. If you went to the Art on the Ridge showings in Greenwood, then there’s nothing really new to see of my work but of course there’ll be the work of 8 other artists on hand.

I’m hoping to have some new horror inspired artwork for the show and if I hustle maybe a few limited prints. I won’t be doing sketches at the show, which is my usual, but can do take home commissions and finish give them to you the next day.
Just wanted to let you know that I will be in Issaquah, WA for their Art Walk on this Friday, June 4th from 5-9PM. They have me setup in front of the Time Out Sports Bar (185 Front Street N, NW Alder Pl, Issaquah, WA 98027), hopefully the rain will decide to go away in time for this. I will have original art and prints with me – haven’t decided if I’ll take my comic art.

Long time no update.
Big News, I’ve got an “art show” coming up on January 8th, 2010. It’ll be during the Greenwood Art Walk starting at 6pm and will be on display for the entire month at the Naked City Taphouse. If you’re in the Seattle area definitely stop by as I’ll have some new pieces on hand.
Also at the beginning of the month Anne Steelyard: The Garden of Emptiness was released by Penny Farthing Press. I inked the book which was penciled by veteran Ron Randall.
I’m work on a new website design but I keep getting sidetracked with work. Hopefully it’ll be up and running in a month.

Calgary Expo is coming up on April 25-26 at the Round Up Centre in Calgary, Alberta Canada. This is my second year at the show and I had a great time last year, definitely a show worth attending.

Notice is a little on the late side but I’ll be at the West Seattle Summer Festival this Friday through Sunday (July 11-13). I’ll be in the Art Dive tent which will feature a bunch of other artists. Go to www.westseattlefestival.com for more information. This is the first time that I’ve worked a festival, in fact this is the first time I’ve worked a show that wasn’t a comic book convention.

Serious lack of updates. Loch: Threats from Above, published by Penny Farthing Press hit comic book stores back in December 2007. Fun little book that’s great for kids.
I will be at the Calgary Expo this coming weekend, April 26-27 2008, at the Round Up Centre. You can find me at Booth #105, just look for my banner or the Rorschach Entertainment Banner. I’ll have a bunch of artwork at the show as well as all the Rorschach books. I’ll also be one of several artists featured in shows collectable Art Book.

Less than two weeks until Emerald City ComiCon, if you’re anywhere near the northwest it’s definitely a show that you’ll want to attend. I’ll be at my Rorschach Entertainment Booth, #706, which will also have a big sign saying James Taylor. So stop by say and take a look at the new print that I’ll have available at the show. So make sure to be in Seattle March 31st and April 1st!
I just started work on a new project for Penny Farthing Press, probably can’t say what it is just yet but it will debut at San Diego ComiCon in July.
Looks like I’ll also be heading down to Super-Con in San Jose, CA on June 2-3 for a show. It’ll be my first time there and considering the lineup of incredible artists it should be a lot of fun.

For those of you in the states I want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and I hope that you’re able to spend it with family or friends (and not working).
Yesterday I had a new book come out to stores, kind of snuck up on me, entitled Decoy: Menagerie Part 2 published by Penny Farthing Press ( www.pfpress.com ). It’s a great title that has a bunch of short stories done by both veterans and rookies in the industry. Definitely worth a flip through at your local shop.

My god how time flies between updates.
First off I’ve officially started rebuilding this site (course that could mean it’ll take me another year to finish it), hopefully it’ll be more interactive and have more for you all.
Just did a bunch of updates in the Publication Design and Ad Design sections of my portfolio, there’s still plenty more to be updated but it’s a start. Lot of work that I’ve been doing for RV Life Magazine is up there now (in case you were into RV’s).
In one month I’ll be at the Emerald City ComiCon in Seattle, WA on April 1st & 2nd, just look for the big James Taylor or Rorschach Entertainment banners – as usual we’re right up front. I’ll be debuting a new sketchbook this year; it’ll be comic book size w/ color cover and 24 pages long.
